2007 BC Bike Race: the Pacific Traverse – Starts July 1

June 30, 2007 (Vancouver, BC) — The inaugural BC Bike Race, the Pacific Traverse, a 7-day, 500km+ mountain bike stage race from Victoria to Whistler July 1-7 begins tomorrow. Team Pedal-Specialized, aka Barry Lyster and Steve Devantier, two local Vancouver riders will be on the start line and bringing Pedal readers the inside scoop with daily updates.

Route:Victoria – Cowichan Lake District
Distance:approx 108km

Stage 2 – July 2
Route:Cowichan Lake District – Port Alberni
Distance:approx 115km

Stage 3 – July 3
Route:Port Alberni – Cumberland
Distance:approx 83km

Stage 4 – July 4
Route:Cumberland – Sechelt
Distance:approx 60km

Stage 5- July 5
Route:Sechelt – Squamish
Distance:approx 58km

Stage 6- July 6
Route:Squamish – Whistler
Distance:approx 72km

Stage 7- July 7
Route:All Whistler, All Day!
Distance:approx 25km
