February 16, 2005 – I would like to invite one and all to attend the 2005 New Brunswick Provincial Mountain Bike Downhill Championships! The event will be held the weekend of June 4th – 5th, 2005. Sugarloaf Mountain in Campbellton, NB will be host of the first ever Provincial Champs and will no doubt hold one of the best events in Atlantic Canadian cycling history. Campbellton is located in the north central part of the province, bordering Quebec. The consistently stellar organization in Campbellton over the past several years made it an obvious choice for this event. The Extreme Bike Shop crew has never failed to hold one of the best events on the NB Cup circuit. That fact, combined with the facilities available will act as a catalyst for one hell of a good time!
Last season was a breakthrough season in terms of participation. This
winter, weÃve been working hard to develop the NB Cup DH series in ways
that will allow this rise in participation to continue. The introduction
of a ìcitizenî class will facilitate new riders in experiencing what
downhill mountain biking has to offer. No license required. Show up,
prove you’re over 15, pay the race entry fee and go nuts! Series overall
leaders jerseys will make it obvious who the king and queen of the
mountain are! With more than $500.00 cash up for grabs in the open/elite
categories, thereÃs no reason to hold back!
Thanks for your time and please keep your eyes peeled for the Ã05 series
schedule at www.velo.nb.ca.
Sincerely,
Eric Goss
