February 12, 2019 (Rimouski, QC) – Quebec’s renowned Tour de la relève International de Rimouski, a long-standing  cadet / junior road stage race in the province, has cancelled its 10th edition siting difficulties in recruiting volunteers as well as the small number of athletes from the region.

The Board of Directors made the decision at the annual general meeting and issued a statement saying they’ll give themselves a few months to decide on the future of the race.

The Tour is a five-stage road competition for Cadet Men and Women (15-16 years old) and Junior Women (17-18 years old) that aims to prepare athletes for international junior competitions. Over the years, the event has become a must for Quebec and North American riders.
