Zareinu Moveathon Celebrates 15 Years of Making Miracles Happen

release by Zareinu Moveathon

June 07, 2012 (Toronto, ON) – This June, two unique events for one cause will get Torontonians up, out and moving for children with special needs. Celebrating 15 years, the Zareinu Moveathon is comprised of a large community Festival at Downsview Park and a fully-supported Zareinu Ride for Kids through picturesque York-Durham Region.

The events raise critical funds for the Zareinu Educational Centre, a world-renowned day school and treatment centre for children with a wide range of physical and developmental challenges.

On Sunday, June 10, thousands will gather at Downsview Park for the Zareinu Moveathon Festival, a day of entertainment, food, games and rides as well as a 2 km walk, 5 and 10 km run, and a 20 km bike ride. Whether a participant in the athletic events or enjoying the fun at the festival, there something for the entire family.

On Sunday, June 24 the Zareinu Moveathon Ride for Kids returns with a fully-supported experience for enthusiastic cyclists willing to take on a 50, 100 or 162.5 km challenge. New this year is the 25 km Women’s Ride and a brand new route. Celebrate your ride and your contribution to the kids at Zareinu with a finish line BBQ to say thank you.

“For many years we have supported the Zareinu Educational Centre of Metropolitan Toronto through the Moveathon,” said Warren Kimel, President of Fabricland. “It’s two days of pure fun and sport and there is no better way to raise critical funds for kids with special needs in our community. We encourage everyone to come out and spend the day.WHAT:    Zareinu Moveathon Festival
