World Cup MTB Finals – Canadian Men XC

September 11, 2005 – Many of the top Canadian men opted out of riding the World Cup MTB Finals in Fort William, Scotland yesterday, including Geoff Kabush (CAN, Maxxis), Roland Green (CAN, Kona-Les Gets), Seamus McGrath (CAN, Haro) and Max Plaxton (CAN, Maxxis-MSC).

Ricky Federau (CAN, Gears Racing) pulled off the top Canuck men’s result with 51st spot. Andrew Watson (CAN, Gears Racing) finished 57th, Kris Sneddon (CAN, Kona-Les Gets) placed 61st, Matthew Hadley (CAN, Radical Edge) rolled into 78th and Martin Lazarski (CAN, Rocky Mountain-Business Objects) was 89th. The 47-kilometre race wrapped up a long, eight-race World Cup season.

In the World Cup overall, Kabush logged the best Canadian placing in 17th. Federau finished off 53rd, McGrath was 54th overall and Chris Sheppard (CAN, Haro) was 60th.
