June 15, 2005 (Whistler, BC.) – For those who prefer to keep both wheels on the ground, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park opens a new beginner area on Saturday, June 18 under the Magic Chair at the base of Blackcomb Mountain.
The Magic Bike Park features two wide-flowing trails that provide a low-impact introduction to downhill mountain biking, enabling families and beginners to play with ease on the lower flank of Blackcomb.
“The Magic Bike Park is a low-impact way to experience the thrill of lift-accessed mountain biking and an excellent warm up before riding the Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Bike Park,” says Jeremy Roche, Whistler Blackcomb’s Manager of Product Development. “Trails are built specifically with beginners and children in mind.”
The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is a leader in developing lift accessed mountain biking for enthusiasts from around the world. With the addition of the introductory Magic Bike Park to Whistler’s number one mountain bike park, the potential for the sport of mountain biking knows no bounds.
A fleet of rental bikes for adults and youth are conveniently located at Blackcomb Daylodge Rentals, at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, and with all Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Bike Park tickets providing free access to the Magic Bike Park, getting into mountain biking this season is easier than ever before.
