September 17, 2014 (Oro-Medonte, ON) – Hardwood Ski and Bike welcomes cyclo-cross riders from all over Ontario starting on Wednesday, September 24th for the 5th Annual Cyclo-Cross Races Series, sponsored by Orillia’s Velocity Cycle & Ski.

“This series is great because it can help the new cyclo-cross rider gain experience and improve their skills, and will also offer the elite riders a competitive challenge,” says Jack Sasseville, President & GM of Hardwood Ski and Bike, the official host of the race series.

The event will take place every Wednesday night for 5 weeks in a row. Each rider will complete multiple laps of the course, which is a 3 km, open track, off-road course. The course is a fun, fast course, with a few technical challenges and dismounts. Competitors can choose to ride the course on a mountain bike or a cyclo-cross bike.

All ages and abilities are welcome. Entry fee is $12.50 for each race or $53.00 for the entire series.

There will be draw prizes every Wednesday night of the series, all donated by the title sponsor – Velocity Cycle and Ski in Orillia. Plus, placing results for each category and prizes at the end of the series for most number of points gained throughout the series.
