WBI Adds Summer Pro Bike Mechanics

March 3, 2008 (Guelph, ON) – Winterborne Bicycle Institute (WBI) is pleased to announce an additional offering of “Pro Bike Mechanic”, to be run July 7 to 18. We’ve had a number of requests from enthusiast home mechanics who’ve asked us to run a summer course when they’re able to take some vacation time.

We’re hearing that it’s getting tougher to find experienced and well-trained bike mechanics in shops, and it seems that more home mechanics are willing to invest the time and energy to ramp up their skills and confidence to look after their own bikes as well as those of their families and friends.

The increasing popularity of WBI’s bike job postings at www.WinterborneBikes.com/job-board reflects the shortage of mechanics across Canada. WBI offers a range of courses, anchored by our 11-day “Pro Bike Mechanic” immersion course.

This course is offered in partnership with Conestoga College and endorsed by Shimano Canada, and the cost is eligible for a tuition tax deduction. In addition, WBI runs weekend-long “Build Your Own Wheels” and “Park Tool School” courses for the casual home mechanic.

See our course schedule online at www.WinterborneBikes.com or call 519-826-0556. Visit us at the Toronto International Bike Show, March 7 to 9, at booth #400.
