April 21, 2015 (Mont-Tremblant, QC) – As the mountain bike season sprints across the start line shoulder to shoulder with Tremblant’s summer season, VéloMotion is hosting the 21st edition of the Canada Cup & Québec Cup Mountain Bike Series on May 16. The XCO and downhill events – and the new urban duathlon – will be hotly contested on-mountain and in the pedestrian village, so spectators can stay in the heart of the action.

New Urban Duathlon & BikeYoga with Ariane Lavigne
On May 16 at 9am, pairs comprised of one trail runner and one mountain biker challenge rival teams on courses that transition through the pedestrian village, and around the base of the mountain. Held simultaneously, the pairs are clocked every time they go through the transition zone. The team that crosses the transition zone most often in the set time frame is crowned the winner. Two disciplines, two courses, two team members and one transition zone. Information and registration – velomotion.ca.

May 18, ambassador athlete Ariane Lavigne is hosting a new activity featuring a mountain bike ride for intermediate-expert cyclists, a yoga session on Place Saint-Bernard in partnership with Lolë, and a sports nutrition workshop live from Fluide juice bar. Space is limited so advance registration is highly recommended – velomotion.ca.
