Velocity Road Race and Aerobic Power Race of Truth – May 9-10

May 6, 2009 (Edmonton, AB) – This weekend teams from around Western Canada are expected to converge on Edmonton for the prestigious Velocity Road Race and Aerobic Power Race of Truth hosted by Edmonton’s Velocity Cycling Club. The race is expected to attract close to 250 riders ranging in age (14-65) and ability (Novice to Elite) from all across Western Canada. These athletes will be vying prizing and a shot at qualifying for Alberta’s provincial team. The Road Race will be part of a great race weekend including the Individual Time Trial and Team Time Trials hosted by Aerobic Power Training Systems on Sunday, May 10.

NOTE THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION!

Aerobic Power Training Systems and the Alberta Bicycle Association invite all riders to on Sunday May 10, to come test their speed on a new and challenging Individual and Team Time Trial Course in beautiful Seba Beach on Lake Wabaman. Racers will be able to compete for points in the 20 km ITT in the morning and then team up with other riders for a fun Team Time Trial made up of 2 to 4 riders in the afternoon. For this one time special opportunity the Alberta Bicycle Association will wave the 1 day licence fee for non licensed riders to experience the exciting Alberta Bicycle Association Road Series.
