USADA Head Says Investigation into Claims of Russian Doping is Critical in Anti-Doping Fight

February 12, 2015 – USA Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) boss Travis Tygart emphasized the importance of WADA’s investigation into allegations of widespread doping in Russian sport, citing it is critical in the fight against cheating in sport worldwide, according to Reuters. WADA launched its probe into the Russian sports system after allegations of systematic doping in the country was aired on a German TV documentary last year. Russian officials have denied the claims.
