July 05, 2015 (Lenzerheide, SUI) – Jaroslav Kulhavy (Cze) Specialized Racing secured his second WCup victory at the new venue in Lenzerheide, SUI, as he soloed across the finish line following a hot and dusty battle in the Elite Men’s 8-lap, 33.72km race.
Kulhavy was in a see-saw battle with Nino Schurter (Sui) Scott-Odlo MTB Racing Team, who was hoping to deliver a victory for the partisan Swiss crowd, but suffered a flat on the sixth lap and settled for second.
Ondrej Cink (Cze) Multivan Merida Biking Team rode a strong race to claim third as Mathias Fluckiger (Sui) Stoeckli Pro Team and Maxime Marotte (Fra) BH-SR Suntour-KMC rounded out the podium.
Julien Absalon (Fra) BMC Mountainbike Racing Team, who was in the lead with Kulhavy and Schurter, also suffering a flat just prior to Schurter’s bad luck to finish 7th. Canada’s Leandre Bouchard was lone Canuck racing and finished 56th overall
