UCI World Masters MTB Worlds — DH

August 15, 2005 — The world’s fastest masters launched themselves down the 3.88-kilometre downhill course at Sun Peaks Resort, B.C., as they vied for rainbow stripes at the UCI Masters World Downhill Championships yesterday. The dusty, gnarly route challenged riders from all over the world. Racers from the U.S., Great Britain and New Zealand outdid Canadians. Only one Canadian, Denise Britton (CAN, Overtime Sports), managed to capture a world title. She took the rainbow jersey in the Women’s 40 to 44 category.
