UCI World Cup Finals — Women’s 4X

September 11, 2005 — World Champion Jill Kintner’s (USA, Yeti) main competitor, Anneke Beerten (NED, Specialized) didn’t start today’s World Cup Final event due to injury, making it easier for Kintner to sew up her title.

Kintner dominated the women’s field and secured the World Cup Series win. The Czek Republic’s Jana Horakova (CZE) took second spot, followed by American Melissa Buhl (USA, KHS) in third.

The four-cross course in Scotland’s Fort William was a crowd-pleaser and required the riders’ full concentration throughout its tricky turns and technical obstacles.
