UCI Road World Championships Elite Women’s TTT Results + PHOTOS – Velocio-SRAM w/Canuel Wins

September 20, 2015 (Richmond, VA) – Velocio-SRAM, including Canada’s Karol-Anne Canuel, defended their title in the 38.8km Elite Women’s TTT on Sunday as the 2015 UCI Road World Championships got underway in Richmond, VA.

Boels Dolmans Cycling Team settled for second after coming on strong at the finish posting the fastest time after CP3. Rabo Liv Women’s Cycling Team claimed the final podium spot.

Canuel collapsed at the finish in exhaustion and had to be helped to the podium by her teammates. Lucinda Brand was also spent following the gruelling TTT ride.

Twenty 16 p/b Sho-Air with Canada’s Alison Jackson finished a strong 5th while Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies, with Jasmin Glaesser and Leah Kirchmann, ended up 9th – read about their training crash here that saw Annie Ewart break her collar bone.
