UCI Road Rankings after Paris-Roubaix – Haussler Grabs Lead

April 13, 2009 (Aigle, Switzerland) – Heinrich Haussler (Ger) Cervelo TestTeam has been boosted into the lead after his seventh place finish at the Paris-Roubaix on Sunday. Alberto Contador (Spa) Astana has moved up to second spot from 13th after taking top honours in last week’s six-stage Vuelta a Pais Vasco in Spain. Allan Davis (Aus) Quick Step, who led the rankings since the start of the season after his Tour Down Under victory, was bumped down to third position.

One of the biggest leaps was made by Tom Boonen (Bel) Quick Step, who won the famed Spring Classic for a third time, was launched from 63rd to 11th overall. Canada’s Ryder Hesjedal (Can) Garmin-Slipstream and Dominique Rollin (Can) Cervelo TestTeam are ranked 50th and 100th, respectively.
