August 12, 2018 (Mont-Sainte-Anne, QC) – Emily Batty (Trek Factory Racing XC) led the Canadian charge again taking home her 4th consecutive World Cup podium finishing 3rd in the 25.6 km Elite Women’s race (Start loop + 6 laps) today at UCI MTB XCO World Cup #6 in Mont-Sainte-Anne. Fellow Canuck, Haley Smith (Norco Factory Team XC) earned a career-best 8th.

Sean Fincham (Can) Forward Racing placed 10th in the U23 Men’s race of the same distance while Sophianne Samson was just outside the top 10 finishing 11th in the 21.5 km U23 Women’s race. In the 7-lap Elite Men’s competition Raphael Gagne (Silverback OMX Pro Team) earned his new team’s best World Cup result taking home a top-30 result finishing 25th as Mathias Flueckiger (Sui) Thömus-RN Racing Team won his first World Cup.
