Pendrel 4th, Batty 12th @ UCI MTB World Cup XC #1 NoveMesto Elite Women’s Results

May 24, 2015 (Nove Mesto, CZE) – Canada’s Catharine Pendrel (Luna Pro Team) finished 4th today in the women’s 23km XCO race at the opening round of the 2015 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Nove Mesto na Morave, Czech Republic won by Jolanda Neff  (Sui) Stoeckli Pro Team in a close battle with Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjaa (Nor) Multivan Merida Biking Team.

Last year’s winner and reigning Road Worlds champ, Pauline Ferrand Prevot (Fra) Raboliv, was 3rd with Annika Langvad (Den) Specialized Racing in 5th. Emily Batty (Can) Trek Factory Racing finished 12th. Nove Mesto will be hosting the 2016 MTB Worlds and today’s race was a preview of the course.
