August 03, 2014 (Mont-Ste-Anne, Quebec) – The Elite Men’s race is now underway in warm 25 degree conditions but the sky is looking dark and there’s a threat of rain. With over 100 racers on the start line there are many contenders including Julien Absalon (Fra) BMC and his main rival Nino Schurter (Sui) Scott Odlo, along with Jaroslav Kulhavy (Cze) Specialized… for Canada it’s Geoff Kabush (Scott-3Rox Racing), Max Plaxton (Cannondale), Raphael Gagne (Rocky) and Derek Zandstra (Scott-3Rox Racing) leading the maple leaf riders.
