Qualifications UCI MTB World Cup DH #5 Lenzerheide – Junior Men, Elite Women/Men – Iles 1st, Verbeeck and Wallace 13th

July 08, 2016 (Lenzerheide, SUI) – Canada’s Finnley Iles (Specialized Gravity powered by SRAM), who leads the series, topped the Junior Men’s field again with a 1.55s margin signaling his form is on once again. Fellow Canuck Magnus Manson (Team Canada) qualified a strong 9th while Henry Fitzgerald (Can) Steve Peat Syndicate / Uberbike Global placed 23rd.

Lone Canadian starter, Vaea Verbeeck, qualified 13th in the Elite Women’s field as Tahnee Seagrave (Gbr) Transition Factory Racing / FMD was fastest down the mountain with Rachel Atherton (Gbr) Trek Factory Racing DH second and Myriam Nicole (Fra) Commencal / Vallnord 3rd.

Mark Wallace (Can) Devinci Global Racing secured a strong 13th-place result as Danny Hart (Gbr) MS Mondraker Team delivered the best time in the Elite Men’s qualifications.
