August 05, 2017 (Mont-Sainte-Anne, QC) – Aaron Gwin (USA) The YT Mob pulled off an incredible win in the Elite Men’s DH as the final rider in the pouring rain executing a near perfect run to claim the victory at UCI MSA World Cup DH#6 in Mont-Sainte-Anne. Reigning Canadian Elite Men’s DH champ, Kirk McDowall, had a dry run to finish 12th as the top Canuck.

Dean Lucas (Aus) Intense Factory Racing Dh in the hot seat for the last 20 riders when the rain began, settled for second with Danny Hart (Gbr) MS Mondraker Team also having a spectacular “wet” run for third. Loic Bruni (Fra) Specialized Gravity was 4th overall and Michael Jones (Gbr) Chain Reaction Cycles / Mavic landed on the podium in 5th.

Gwin is now only 33 points behind overall series leader Greg Minnaar (RSA) Santa Cruz Syndicate who was DSQ for going off the track we believe in the early part of his run. The DH finale in Val Di Sole (ITA) on Aug. 27 will be a barn-burner for the overall title.
