UCI Announces Athlete Quotas for Men’s Road Cycling at Rio 2016 Olympic Games

January 19, 2016 (Aigle, Switzerland) – The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is pleased to announce the list of 61 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) qualified for the Road Men’s events at the upcoming Olympic Games, and the quotas of athletes allocated to them here.

According to the Olympic qualification system calendar for Road Cycling, the NOCs must confirm the number of athletes entered by 1 February 2016, before the UCI reallocates the remaining places.

The list of NOCs qualified for the Road Cycling Women’s events as well as the athletes’ quota allocation will be communicated in early June 2016.

Venues and dates of Cycling events at the Rio 2016 Games

Road:
– Road Race: Fort Copacabana (Copacabana) ; 6-7 August
– Time Trial: Pontal (Barra); 10 August

Track:
– Rio Olympic Velodrome (Barra) ; 11-16 August

Mountain Bike:
– Mountain Bike Centre (Deodoro) ; 20-21 August

BMX:
– Olympic BMX Centre (Deodoro) ; 17-19 August
