Two RONA MS Bike Tours in Quebec

August 14, 2007 (Montreal, Que.) – For its 18th edition this year, the RONA MS Bike Tour, organized for the benefit of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Quebec Division, will again feature two bicycle tours. The first will take place in the Quebec City region, on August 18 and 19, 2007, while the second will be held in the Outaouais region, on August 25 and 26.

Two well-known personalities have signed up with the 2007 edition of the RONA MS Bike Tour: Patricia Paquin, host at Rythme FM Montréal and spokesperson of the MS Society for 13 years now, and Nathalie Lévesque, host at Rythme FM Québec and spokesperson of the Quebec City RONA MS Bike Tour. Both of these young women have a family member with multiple sclerosis (MS), and so they never hesitate to invest time and energy in this cause, since it affects them personally.

Organized jointly with the team of experts from Vélo Québec ÉVÉNEMENTS, both tours will offer the possibility of choosing between two itineraries: a 150-km route that takes two days and a 75-km route on the Sunday. Hard-core bike enthusiasts will also enjoy some optional 25-km loops.

Getting on your bike for the RONA MS Bike Tour means taking concrete action to help the numerous Quebec families affected by MS. Last year, 1,200 cyclists raised more than $1,000,000, a first in the history of the RONA MS Bike Tour in Quebec. This year, let’s do even better so we can support research into multiple sclerosis and improve the quality of life for the 13,000 to 18,000 Quebecers with MS and their families.
