The two teammates have also raced with the Men’s Team Pursuit squad that recently took home a silver medal and a sub-4 minute time at the Pan Am Track Championships in Mexico with Jamieson on board.
Jamieson, 20, won the 114km Lierde Circuit Race in Belgium on July 25 riding for RaceClean Canada. In August, he finished 8th at the 113km Overijse Kermesse in Belgium and 6th at the 160km UCI 1.2 Grand Prix des Marbriers in France where he took home 200 Euros as the winner of the Points Classification as well. In 2014, he won stage 2 of Quebec’s Tour de la Montérégie (TDLM) while racing for NCCH / DEC Express. In 2013, he finished second in the ITT at stage 3 of the Tour de l’Abitibi.
MacKinnon, also 20, competed at the UCI World Championships in Doha where he finished 16th at the U23 ITT and 135th in the RR. In May of this year he claimed the Best Young Rider (white) jersey at the 2016 Fleche du Sud in Luxembourg after finishing 7th on the 148.9km Stage 4 from Rosport to Echternach. MacKinnon ended up 10th overall in the final GC there. A month later, he was the top Canuck, finishing 6th in the 74.2km Stage 3 Chicoutimi Criterium in Quebec. In 2015, he finished 3rd in the ITT as a junior at the Pan Am Games and 5th in Individual Pursuit at the UCI Track World Cup in Cali Colombia in October.
