Trek Stores Book Launch Party for “Saddle, Sore” + MTB Team 2017 Kicks Off in Toronto

December 07, 2016 (Toronto, ON) – The launch of “Saddle, Sore” kicked off at Trek Store Toronto on Dec. 6 and the evening also saw the introduction of the 2017 Trek Canada Mountain Bike Team including Peter Glassford, Soren Meeuwisse, Sarah Fabbro, and Jon Barnes.

The 3-venue launch continues tonight at the Aurora Trek Store (15543 Yonge St, Aurora, Ontario) with the final event on Dec. 8 to be held at the Barrie Trek location (88 Dunlop Street East, Barrie, Ontario).

The updated version of “Saddle, Sore” by Molly Hurford, adds chapters that examine aging, pregnancy and male-specific issues. The book has already aided coaches, shop-staff, and parents in discussing issues like saddle choice, bike setup, saddle sores, and birth control.

The three launch events also include a presentation by Hurford and Peter Glassford called “Ride Fast and Ride Comfortable” which looks at subjects in Hurford’s book as well as how to train smart. Last night, members of the Trek Canada MTB squad shared their own experiences with saddle selection and bike fit.

“You will learn tips to enhance your comfort on the bike as well as training strategies to make the most of your fitness and enhance your health,” commented Glassford.

All three events are free to attend, and snacks and beverages are available, and only require and RSVP on the event Facebook page from those interested in attending.
