November 18, 2013 (Vancouver BC) — Vancouver’s Trek Red Truck Racing Team is pleased to announce their 2014 roster. The high performance program is focused on developing young cyclists and the 2014 team selection is consistent with the team’s history and mission. Trek Red Truck builds off of their successful 2013 season that included over 50 wins.

Exciting additions to the team are several young cyclists with potential to become Canada’s next great international champions. On the men’s side, Michael van den Ham (Edmonton, AB), Geordie Morrison, Joel Taylor, Trevor Stotthard (all of Victoria, BC) join the strong core team that returns from 2013. In the growing women’s team, returning riders are joined by Junior National Team members Tessa Pinckston and Kinley Gibson. Trek Red Truck is also pleased to welcome Leah Guloein back as team captain. Leah was a graduate of the program and went on to race a successful professional career.

Joining Trek Red Truck’s mountain bike sensation Brandi Heisterman for 2014 is up-and-coming Austin Reith. Winning his very first Canada Cup race in the Junior category, Austin will surely bolster Brandi’s impressive results from 2013.

Former national team member Jamie Riggs comes on board as Director Sportif. Jamie brings a wealth of racing experience as well as physiological expertise to share with the young team.
