July 18, 2006 – Trackfest “˜06 #2, the second in a series of three track cycling events, will happen at the Juan de Fuca Velodrome on July 22, 4pm to 8pm. Races include mass start and individual sprint events.

Track Racing is an exciting sport that is growing steadily in popularity across Canada. Lori-Ann Muenzer’s Gold Medal on the track at the Athens Olympics is helping to raise the profile of the sport. Local racer Matt Barlee — who will be racing at Trackfest – won a bronze medal at the Pan-Am Games in Buenos Aires this past June.
