Tour of Oman Stage 2 – Goss Scores, Rollin 18th

February 16, 2011 (Al Wutayya, Oman) – Matthew Harley Goss (Aus) HTC-Highroad won the 139km Stage 2 of the Tour of Oman from Muscat to Al Wutayya against big sprinting guns like Daniele Bennati (Ita) Leopard Trek and Edvald Boasson Hagen (Nor) Sky Pro Cycling, who placed second and third, respectively. Canada’s Dominique Rollin (Can) FDJ finished 18th, part of the chase group that crossed the line 3s behind the lead group of nine riders. With his victory, Goss took over the leader’s jersey, while Rollin jumped up one spot to 18th overall.
