Tour of California 2006 — Stage 2

February 21, 2006 – Disco’s George Hincapie took a tough second stage of the Tour of California today, and should wrest the leader’s jersey off of countryman Levi Leipheimer (Gerolsteiner), once the bonus seconds are calculated. Canada’s Michael Barry made the lead group of 20-odd riders on the final climbs, and even attacked in the closing kilometres before setting up his teammate Hincapie for the win. Barry finished 12th and sits in the top-10 overall.
