August 12, 2006 – After a monumental sponsorship search, the Tour di Via Italia is returning to the OCA calendar. The 2 km, four corner criterium in the heart of Windsor’s Italian community is a great compliment to the previous day’s Provincial Criterium Championships in Amherstburg. The event will offer all provincial categories making the Labour day weekend trip to Amherstburg/Windsor area all-the-worthwhile.

2006 will mark the 48th edition of the Tour di Via Italia (Ontario oldest bicycle race). This year’s event is organised solely by Aldo Sfalcin who has launched a dedicated race website at www.tourdiviaitalia.com
