August 13, 2007 – The deadline to register for the 2007 Tour de Shore and receive a $10 discount is fast approaching. At midnight on August 15, 2007 the cost to register for Tour de Shore will increase by $10. IT’S TIME TO REGISTER! Visit www.tourdeshore to register. Registration is ONLY online this year and will close at midnight on August 26, 2007.

The 2007 Tour de Shore is set for September 1st and 2nd, the Labour Day weekend and has something for everyone. The route running from Riverhead, St. Mary’s Bay to Goulds will feature activities, social events and cycling races for families and recreational riders, amateur and professional riders. Riders are starting to register and a large turn out is expected.

Last year’s participants had a wonderful time, with many promising to return this year. One rider wrote, “…it’s a big event, off to a great start, lots of fun.” In addition to the positive response from riders, last year’s event was voted “2006 Cycling Event of the Year” by Atlantic Pedaler Magazine, and the 2007 event has been designated the 2007 Atlantic Road Championships.

As well as competitive events in the Men’s and Women’s categories, the 2007 Tour de Shore promises to be fun for everyone, regardless of their cycling experience. Non-competitive events are scheduled, so that anyone with an interest in cycling can participate.
