Tour de l’Aude — Stage 5

May 18, 2005 – A windy individual time trial at the Tour de l’Aude saw the specialists take the spotlight, with Karin Thurig (Univega) outpacing Kristin Armstrong (USA) and Univega temmate and prologue winner Christiane Soeder by an even minute. With the stage win, Thurig moves into the overall lead, but the mountain loom and the last few days promise some furious attacking.

Among those who’ll be looking to make a move are the Canadian duo of Erinne Willock and Lyne Bessette, who put in strong performance today and stand 2:32 And 2:48 down on overall, respectively.
