September 19, 2005 – The Hastings Highlands Hilly Hundred, “the toughest Century Ride in Ontario” takes place on Saturday, 24th September in Bancroft, Ontario.

Three challenging distances are offered, 160 k, 80 k, & 60 k, road bikes are recommended, but mountain bikes could be used on the 80 k & 60 k course.

The course weaves its way through the hills and valleys of the Canadian Shield, the terrain is a wonderful mix of country roads, limited highway riding and breathtaking hills carved through ancient granite bedrock.

This one day “Tour de France” is a fundraising event, all proceeds will go to the establishment of a kidney dialysis unit in Bancroft.
