September 12, 2005 – The 2005 World Mountain Bike Championships took place last week in Livigno, Italy and Ontario’s two top athletes were Emily Batty in the Junior women with a 13th place finish and Andrew Watson in the Espoir men category with a 26th place finish.

Andrew channeled last years World Championship experience and used that to his advantage. Andrew will build upon his World’s success at this weekends PlastiGlas Provincial Mountain Bike Championships.

Emily Batty continued her year of excellence with her 13th place finish in this years worlds adding on to her already impressive accomplishments throughout 2005. Her performances will be a great tool in propelling her onto the world stage of cycling.
