Ted’s Vuelta 2014 Part 2 – Heat, Climbing, Cathedrals and Tapas Bars

by pedalmag.com

September 01, 2014 – In Part 2 of Ted’s Vuelta 2014, Stages 5-9, Velikonja continues his quest to ride his 5th Grand Tour. The dry heat of Spain is affecting the pro peloton as well as Ted and crew as they battle mother nature and some heavy duty climbs with the Vuelta’s first rest day soon here. We see beautiful cathedrals, barren arid countryside, an amazing blue lake, 44 degree temperatures, and a fabulous tapas bar.

Velikonja, a First Vice President at CIBC Wood Gundy, has already completed the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. He will ride every stage and every kilometre of La Vuelta Ciclista a Espana 2014 and the Soul Riders team Pedal‘s Christopher Balogh and Tim Lefebvre, are supporting Ted as domestiques and soigneurs for the 3,3000km journey.
