June 05, 2012 (Victoria, BC) – The winning performances of Team H&R Block continue at the Robert Cameron Law Cycling Series. Andrew Pinfold, Rob Britton, Aaron Schooler, Jordan Cheyne, Kris Dahl, Adam Thuss, Mike Sidic, Laurent Dallaire, Craig Jones, Justin Kerr & Garrett McLeod were a force to be reckoned with as they took the win in in the Specialized Russ Hay’s Time Trial, KOM Jersey in the Accent Inns Road Race, The Condo Group Bastion Square Criterium & Overall GC of the Robert Cameron Law Cycling Series!

The weekend began with the team competing in the Specialized Russ Hay’s Time Trial. This was the start of what was to come with Rob Britton’s wining performance and Kris Dahl just missing a podium spot by 1sec. finishing strong in 4th place.

The next day was the Accent Inns BC Road Cycling Championships where the team road really well together to put Rob and Garrett McLeod in the wining break. The race came down to a sprint finish between the lead 6 riders that were in the break together that resulted in Rob placing 2nd. During the race he attained the points to attain the coveted KOM jersey. This was a hard race that saw all of our out of province riders sacrificing themselves for the BC riders to win the race.

The Condo Group Baston Square Grand Prix was the final stage of the overall series. This was a chance for the team to once again come together and have fun. The race started off really fast with several attacks by teams, but the team did not panic and stayed to the team plan. After some great moves that saw Justin Kerr and Aaron Schooler off the front for over 10 laps, the final break was shortly thereafter established with Rob and Justin along with 3 other riders.

With 5 laps to go Garrett made a great solo move that saw him cross to the break and shortly after that with 3 laps to go Andrew Pinfold followed suit. This now put 4 Team H&R Block riders in the final move with 2 laps to go. It was a perfect situation for the team to take the win in the Crit, as well as cover the over all GC on points. This team effort resulted in Justin taking the win in a great final sprint to the line. Rob and Garrett following close behind to secure their overall GC placing with Rob in 1st and Garrett in 2nd.

Mark Ernsting, Team Director, “this weekend was a great opportunity for the team to come together and prove to themselves that they are going in the right direction leading into the hardest races still to come this summer, with Tour de Beauce, Canadian Road Nationals, BC Superweek and Cascade Cycling Classic”.

Thank you to all of the Marketing Partners for believing in the team and supporting the growth and development of some of the most talented riders in Canada. This weekend was a clear indication that the support that is being provided is paying off.
