Team Espoirs Quilicot Announces 2012 Line-up

December 22, 2011 (Boisbriand, QC) – After an eventful season with 27 podiums and 96 top 10 results in 2011, Espoirs Quilicot is pleased to announce its 2012 roster. Marie-Pier Bédard, level 3 certified coach and former National Development and Quebec Team racer, fills the role of Directeur Sporif, a position she held at the most recent Young Commonwealth Games for the Canadian squad.

Women’s Team
– Amélie Bruneau – two-time top 10 finisher at the Canadian Junior Road Cycling Championships
– Elise Brouillette – 3rd, Stage 1 of the Tour de la Relève de Rimouski

Men’s Team
– Benjamin Chartrand – 2nd, GP de Brossard; 4th GP du Quebec – Trois-Rivières
– Francois Vaillancourt – 7th Grand Prix de l’Outaouais 2011
– Nicolas Masbourian – 3rd Grand Prix de Charlevoix
– Vincent Desilets-Jacob – 5th, Stage 1 of the Tour de la Relève de Rimouski
– Jerome Corneau – 5th, 2011 FQSC season standings
– Nicolas Ducharme – will return after a season marred by injury

Bicycles Quilicot, with two bike shops in the Greater Montreal area (Montreal, Ste-Therese, and opening soon in Laval), will support Espoirs Quilicot for a second season. In addition to financial support, Bicycles Quilicot offers the team valuable expertise in bike fit via Specialized’s BG FIT (Body Geometry Fit Integration Technology) program. Team Espoirs Quilicot recognizes the importance of BG FIT, optimal fit and position on the bike are vital to performance. BG FIT service is offered at Bicycle Quilicot and is a huge advantage for the team riders.

Espoirs Quilicot welcomes three new sponsors for the 2012 season: TRJ Telecom, Maxi-Forêt and Dura-Toile. The team also welcomes returning sponsors Specialized and Rack Ultra de Laval.

Finally, Team Espoirs Quilicot would like to recognize the support of Club cycliste Espoirs de Laval.
