Symmetrics Cycling October Newsletter

October 15, 2005 – Many great things have happened since our last newsletter and we will quickly bring you up to date. The most recent accomplishment came when the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), the world governing body for cycling, announced its individual and team rankings for the Continental Circuits. Symmetrics Cycling ranked 3rd in the Americas Tour which includes all continental professional teams from North and South America. Riders from the 27 teams that competed in the Americas circuit accumulated points from UCI sanctioned races from October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2005. Included below is the Top 5 ranking. Symmetrics Cycling sweeps the Canada Cup
The team captured both the team and top two individual rankings (Svein Tuft and Eric Wohlberg) in the 2005 Canada Cup Road Race Series. Christian Meier finished second in the Espoir category and the Symmetrics women finished third in the team rankings. The Canada Cup series is made up of select races across the country that brings together the best teams and riders from across Canada.

Symmetrics at Worlds

The team had five riders selected to represent Canada in the most recent World Cycling Championships in Madrid, Spain which further demonstrates that Symmetrics has become Canada’s team.
