Swiss Host World Forum

Lausanne, Switzerland will once again host the World Sports Forum on Sept.
22 to 24, marking the second straight year the Swiss city has held this
event.

The forum brings together business leaders, politicians, key officials with
sports clubs and athletic federations, as well as members of United Nations
organizations. Among those who will attend this year’s forum is IOC
president Jacques Rogge. Collectively, they will address issues related to
sports and impact on society.
This is the fourth time the World Sports Forum will be held. The first two
events were also in Switzerland, but in the city of St. Moritz in 1998 and
in 2000.

One of the main topics at this year’s forum will be the 2008 Summer
Olympics set for Beijing, China. Challenges and opportunities for China and
the business community will be examined.
