August 2, 2007 – IMBA is coming to Winnipeg, MB, August 2-5. Ryan Schutz and Kristin Butcher of the Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew is teaming with Gord’s Bike Club for a weekend dedicated to improving local trails. The Crews teach “sustainable” trail building, which means building trails that last a long time and require minimal maintenance. This helps reduce trail damage, protects the environment, and enhances visitor enjoyment.
The visit features an IMBA Trailbuilding School, a group ride and a social.

Thursday:
6:30 PM – 9:00 PM: Thursday Night Ride with Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew.
Saturday:
8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Registration, Gord’s Ski and Bike L1 7 Donald Street, $20 Registration fee for the weekend. ($10 for Gord’s Bike Club Members)
8:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Trailbuilding School classroom session @ Gord’s L1.
11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Lunch (provided).
1:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Trailbuilding School field session at “Gord’s Run to Togo”. (bring your bike)
6:30 PM – 7:00 PM: BBQ (provided) Location TBD.
7:30 PM: Night ride throughout city trails (Bring Lights).
Sunday
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Trailwork at “Gord’s Run to Togo” (Meet at Gord’s L1 at 8:30am)
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch at Muddy Waters @ Forks (bring $)
1:30 PM – 6:30pm Head out to Sandilands for a Mini-Epic ride.
