March 04, 2017 – Karol-Ann Canuel (Boels Dolmans Cyclingteam) led the Canadian women in 15th as Elisa Longo Borghini (Ita) Wiggle High5 took the win in the women’s 127km UCI Women’s WorldTour opener at Strade Bianche. In the men’s race Hugo Houle (Can) AG2R La Mondiale finished 42nd as  Michal Kwiatkowski (Pol) Team Sky tamed the field for the victory.
