February 20, 2008 – Italy’s Sophia Loren will be the figurehead of Italian cycling at BikeAsia’s “Made in Italy” exhibition in Singapore from April 10 to 13 at South East Asia’s first International Bicycle and Motorcycle Show.
Loren, 73, won an Oscar Award for Best Actress in 1960 for her performance in Vittorio De Sica’s Two Women. During her career, Loren co-starred with the likes of Frank Sinatra and Cary Grant and was a renowned sex symbol.
Loren will be in Singapore on April 10 for the official opening of BikeAsia. She will represent the style and beauty of Italian bicycles and motorcycles for Confindustria ANCMA (Italian Association of Bicycle and Motorcycle Manufacturers), which will be taking part in BikeAsia with its most prestigious brands, Aprilia, Adler, AGV, Brembo, Colnago, Ducati, Guzzi, MV, Nolan, Piaggio and many more. Loren will also visit the Show and the Historic Exhibition of “Made in Italy” 2-Wheelers set up by the Italian Trade Commission (ICE).
Loren will be the guest of honour of an Italian SoirÃ©e promoted by the ICE office of Singapore.
