Sixth Tour de Québec Desjardins – July 24-28

June 28, 2013 (Quebec City, QC) – Expanded to a nationally-sanctioned event, the sixth edition of the Tour de Québec Desjardins promises to be spectacular and competitive. The stages are proven and exciting and the organization expects a quality field composed of Canadian, American and international riders.

Several special events will be announced soon for the population of Quebec City!

Continuing with a five-day program for the elite men now sanctioned nationally and a $15,000 prize purse is featured! A criterium around the Quebec Parliament is available in men’s and women’s open category. The traditional GP Tour of Quebec St Augustine is also back for master cyclists!

– July 24th: “drag race” sprints (downtown Quebec city) – 250m
– July 25th: Île d’Orléans road race – 130km
– July 26th: St-Augustin criterium – 50 laps – 85km
– July 27th: St-Augustin road race – 13 laps – 143km
– July 28th: Quebec city criterium (around the parliament) – 50 laps – 68km
– Total: 425km
