SingleTrack Challenge @ Hardwood Ski and Bike – Registration Deadline is May 27

May 26, 2016 (Barrie, ON) – A reminder that the registration deadline for the SingleTrack Challenge is Friday, May 27 at 5:00 pm. There is no day-of entry. The SingleTrack Challenge will take place Saturday May 28 at Hardwood Ski and Bike, along with the MEC BikeFest.

The SingleTrack Challenge uses a `secret` 25 km loop of Ontario`s favorite dedicated mountain bike trails. Ride or Race, one or two loops for the perfect wrap on your season. There are even SingleSpeed and FatBike specific categories.  There is also a non-competitive 12km Poker Ride for those not so keen on the longer distance and challenge.

Options for Categories and Courses:

1.  25 km – 1 loop
– Girls 18 & under, Women 19-39, Women 40+
– Boys 14 & under, Boys 15-18, Men 19-39, Men 40-49, Men 50-59, Men 60+
– FATBIKE Open

2.   50 km – 2 loops
– Girls 15-18, Women 19-39, Women 40+
– Boys 15-18, Men 19-39, Men 40-49, Men 50-59, Men 60+
– FATBIKE Open, SingleSpeed Open

3.   12 km Poker Ride
– Open Boys/Men and Girls/Women

Schedule:
Friday May 27
5 pm – 25/50 km Registration closes – No Day-of registration

Saturday May 28
7:30 am – Package Pick-up
9:30 am – 50 km  Start Time
9:45 am – 25 km  Start Time
10:00 am – 12 km Poker Ride Start
12:00 pm – 50 km 2nd lap cut-off, (to start lap 2)
12:30 pm – 24 km Awards
1:00 pm – Poker Ride cut-off & Prizes for best hands
1:30 pm –  50 km Awards

Awards:
Medals to top 3 in each category

Poker Ride:
Riders can start any time after 10:00 and ride at their own pace around the
Poker Ride Course. There will be 5 Card Stations, at which each rider gets a
small envelope with a card hidden inside (DO NOT OPEN !). Once back to the
Finish area, envelopes will be opened by Poker Ride officials to reveal your
“hand”. Prizes for best hands will be awarded at 1:00 pm.

Notes:
*There will be one feed station on course and one feed station at finish
*Each lap for 50 km riders will be timed for bragging rights.
