Scott McFarlane, Silber Pro Cycling’s principal owner, explained the decision to sign the first 18 year-old in the team’s history. “We are a development program. It is our mission to support young riders that we believe are capable of getting to the World Tour. And simply put, we believe Nick Zukowsky has the ability and mindset to get to the next level.

“The fact that he is only 18 years old sends a message that we are committed to working with riders over a 2-3 year period, and I hope it inspires current junior and cadet cyclists that want to one day race for professional cycling teams,” commented McFarlane.

Silber Pro Cycling is a Montreal-based Continental team that focuses on developing primarily, but not exclusively, Canadian cyclists. It is currently in 2nd place on the UCI America Tour.
