April 16, 2011 (Monterey, CA) – Canada dominated the Elite Women’s US Pro XCT #3 XC race on Saturday as Emily Batty (Subaru-Trek) outsprinted fellow Canuck, Catharine Pendrel (Luna Pro Tream), in an exciting drag race to the finish with Batty the clear winner.

The duo dropped Katerina Nash (Cze) Luna Pro Team with two laps to go and were together with about 100m to the finish when the sprint to the line began with the younger Batty taking the win over the veteran Pendrel – full report, interviews and photos to come.
