SATURN RIDERS SWEEP STAGE 3 at HP

June 17, 2002 (STANLEY, ID)- It was a 1-2-3 sweep for Team Saturn at the
conclusion of the stage three Voler 25-mile Time Trial in Stanley, ID, at
the 19th Annual HP WOMEN’S CHALLENGE.

Averaging 28 mph, Saturn’s Judith
Arndt (GER), last year’s HP Women’s Challenge runner-up, won the out and
back time trial with a blistering time of 53 minutes and 31 seconds. Just
one second off the winning pace was US National Time Trial Champion,
Kimberly Bruckner, with a finishing time of 53 minutes and 32 seconds.
Rounding out the Saturn sweep, with a time of 53 minutes and 34 seconds,
was the current Overall Race Leader and two time HP CHALLENGE Champion
(1996/00), Anna Millward (Saturn) from Australia.


Tomorrow’s (June 18) stage four of nine stages will take the
remaining 85 world class bicycle racers over Galena Summit (8,701 ft) into
Ketchum during the Boise Office Solutions 62.3 mile Stanley to Ketchum Road
Race, starting at 10 am. The 19th Annual HP WOMEN’S CHALLENGE, with a
strong international field competing for a cash purse of $75,000, is a
9-day, 9-stage International Bicycle Race covering 543 miles throughout
southern Idaho.
