RWR/Peak Winter Racing Series – Stage 18 Final

release by RWR/Peak Winter Racing Series

April 10, 2009 – The final stage of the Ride with Rendall/Peak Winter Racing series took place in various centres across Canada. Taking his second stage win of the series and posting a personal best time, Casey Roth averaged 328 watts on his way to a time of 48:31.9 on the series extended time trial course. Following in second, was a strong showing from Vancouver rider, Tony Zachary, who put together a steady ride of 50:00.6. Third place went to Dave Sugden who finished with a time of 50:54.7.

Tenille Hoogland took another textbook win by leading the women’s field from start to finish with a time of 51:20.9. Behind her, Sophie Matte bested Allison Setton for second by posting a time of 55:10.4 compared to Setton’s 55:39.8.

With all 18 stages now completed and all of the points shelled out, all that is left is for the number crunching to see who comes out on top in the overall General classification. It is fairly certain that Mike Nash and Tenille Hoogland successfully took the top GC spots but behind them, expect some surprises once the best 14 of 18 races are taken to determine the overall winners. Results will be posted on www.ridewithrendall.com.

RWR would once again like to take the time to thank all of the riders, the series’ sponsors, and the Peak Center for Human Performance. All are responsible for another successful season in the books.
