May 1, 2009 (Vancouver B.C.) – Rocky Mountain Bicycles is proud to announce its continued partnership with Dirt Series mountain bike camps for 2009. Since its inception in 2001, the Dirt Series by Rocky Mountain Bicycles has grown to become the most successful instructional program in North America with camps in B.C., Alberta, Utah, Oregon, Idaho, and California.

“We’re thrilled to be continuing our relationship with Rocky Mountain.”, stated Candace Shadley, founder of the Dirt Series, “Through the demo bikes they provide for the camp participants, the pro team riders who come out to support the program, and their incredible dealers who host the camps, it’s a partnership that truly maximizes the participant experience and our overall success.”

The 2009 Dirt Series program will see Rocky Mountain athletes Wade Simmons, Geoff Gulevich, Alison Sydor, and Andreas Hestler sharing their knowledge and experience with participants as guest coaches. Shadley continues, “We’ve found that it really adds to the experience to have Rocky’s world class team riders at our camps. To say that Alison Sydor taught you how to do a technical climb, or that Wade Simmons showed you how to do a drop is a very special thing.”

The Dirt Series relationship goes beyond a marketing tool for Rocky Mountain. “Our partnership with the Dirt Series has given us a perfect venue to listen to the needs of a broad variety of mountain bikers. In particular, through the women’s camps we’ve been able take what we’ve learned from the camp coaches and participants and we’ve used that knowledge to really push our women’s specific bike line forward”, said Peter Vallance, RMB spokesperson.
