The second race will be on the newly created DH course from 2003. This course promises to be short and sweet with a winning time of less than three minutes. These are without a doubt two of the most technically challenging DH race courses in Alberta. Come out and join the spills and thrills.

Sunday July 3
The day for the Double Baseline & Quad Baseline Enduro. Back when the rocks on Baseline Mountain where cooling, our MTB Yoda was just a young padawan and would do this as a fun training ride. Today it is legendary ride among the local yokels.

Imagine a mass start down 500 meters of steep fire road to get to your trusty steel steed. Only to mount her to spin down a dusty gravel road for 4K to arrive at the bottom of the old Baseline Tower Road and climb through steep rocky narrow fire road some 400 meters in elevation in about 5K to the top.

Catching a glimpse of the old abandoned look-out tower, you descend 200 meters back to the valley floor below through steep screech. While on the valley floor, you travel through doubletrack quad trails through thick pine to come to the base of what will prove to be the biggest hike-a-bike as you climb up 300 meters to the new look-out tower. Catch just a glimpse of the tower as your new goal is to descend to the bottom down 500 meters in 5K on the old original 1993-1996 Provincial DH and XC courses to join onto the 1998 and 1999 Canada Cup XC course. Then complete one 5K lap with another 500 meters of climbing. That’s Double Baseline! For those of you with enough courage and strength you get to do it one more time to complete the Quad. We Double Dare You!
